WWII Luftwaffe rare photograph album of Kampfgeschwader, Unit e8. Album comprises 189 black and white snapshots of German air force that were an essential component of Adolph Hitler's Blitzkrieg. Clear captions for each photo, neatly handwritten in German. Photos chronicle winter and summer activities of enlisted men on and off duty including poses at the Eiffel Tower, airplanes on the airfield, Nazi flags flying, air crew funerals in field, a prisoner held to the ground, women swimming and more. Wood covered album with gray cloth binding measures 12.75'' x 9.25''. Cream paper has some warping and bending at paper edges, fixed by metal screws. Minor scratching, discoloration, chipping along edges to front and back covers, else near fine condition. Photos measure 3.75'' x 2.75'' or 2.75'' x 3.75''. Very good condition.
