Manufactured by Walther in 1944, with a rough cast receiver and bolt carrier, a hollow cocking knob on the left side, and a factory scope rail on the right side of the receiver. The left receiver side is marked "K43" followed by "ac/44", the wartime code for Walther and the date 1944, and the serial number. The bolt carrier is numbered to the gun and has an eagle/359 proof with Eagle firing and eagle/359 proofs stamped on the left side of the receiver. The rifle has hooded front and tangent rear sights and blue and phosphate finishes. Mounted on a laminated pistol grip stock stamped with an eagle/WaA proof in the grip area and fitted with a cupped buttplate. The contemporary replacement upper hand guard is painted brown.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains 80% original blue finish and 90% original phosphate finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The magazine, buttplate trapdoor and sliding dust cover are missing. The forearm retains almost all of the brown paint. The stock is excellent with some very scattered minor handling marks and chipping along the grain.
