Manufactured by Walther in 1944 with the left side of the receiver marked "K43" followed by "ac / 44", the wartime code for Walther and the date 1944, and the serial number, along with an eagle firing proof and eagle/359 proof. It has a rough cast receiver and bolt carrier, a hollow cocking knob on the left side, and a factory scope rail on the right side of the receiver. The bolt carrier is numbered to the gun and has an eagle/359 proof. Hooded front sight and tangent rear sight with blue and phosphate finishes. Laminated pistol grip stock with an eagle/WaA proof in the grip area and cupped buttplate. The upper hand guard is a brown painted contemporary replacement.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains 70% original blue finish and 90% original phosphate finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. Missing magazine and sliding dust cover. The refinished / replaced forearm retains almost all of the brown paint. The stock is fine with some very scattered minor handling marks and chipping along the grain. Mechanically excellent.
