This is a very good example of a 1941 Mauser luger pistol. The top of the chamber is dated "41" with the wartime code of "byf" marked on the front toggle. There is a double "eagle/655" Waffenamt proof on the left side of the barrel extension next to a single "eagle/swastika" firing proof, which is also located on the right side of the barrel. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered grips, which has a single "eagle 135" proof on the back sides and a standard type three Army magazine with the blue magazine body marked on the side with "122/eagel 37/P08" markings with the aluminum base that is marked "1943n".
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 3877r
Condition: Refinished with 40% of the original blue finish mixed with cold blue on the balance over the various surfaces of the pistol, with some minor edge wear, while the grip straps still retain half of their blue finish. The overall pistol does show some minor spotting in areas, probably from actual field use. The replacement grips are in very fine condition with a nice even matching brown color overall with the left grip having sharper more defined checkering while the right side shows some more actual wear across the top of the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
