SHARPSHOOTER'S RIFLE. Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 5473i. Bbl. 23 5/8". All visible numbers match. Markings enhanced in white. Rifle equipped w/ dovetailed rear sight base to accept the long eye relief ZF41 telescopic sight. Receiver ring marked on top w/ "ar" "43" w/ eagle "30" & partially eagle acceptance mark. Left side of receiver ring & bbl. have German eagle proofs. Left receiver rail marked "Mod. 98". Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000m. Sight base has dovetail for scope mt. Inverted V front sight w/ protective hood. Cleaning rod & bayonet bar are present. Solid upper band stamped welded lower band. Bands retain by single spring. Milled trigger guard & floorplate. Unmarked laminated stock set w/ steel disassembly disk & cup type buttplate marked "brg". Well worn correct leather sling. ZF scope marked "ZF40". "40" is lined out & is additionally marked "41/1". Marked "dow" which indicates mfg. by Opticotechna & Prerau in Prerau, Czechoslovakia. Scope has tapered reticle w/ horizontal cross bars. Rain shields are present. Mt. marked on rear leg "duv", eagle "214" & marked at rear "K98" "k-Zf.41.". Mt. is made w/ tapered locking ollers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gray rubber muzzle cap. CONDITION: stock set has light wear & handling marks throughout w/ original finish. Metal retains 75% original finish w/ thinning & light wear. Shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands. Scope has 80% original finish w/ light wear & handling marks. Optics appear slightly cloudy but serviceable w/ notable scattered spots on reticle & lens.
