This group consists of a framed Russian Front medal with its original issue document to Hans-Gerhardt Mathies on 11 October 1942. / 1 German Arbeitsbuch dated 1935 through 1943. / 1 Army bevo breast eagle. / 1 Pair of green and silver bullion shoulder boards for a Captain or equivalent with "RSV" on the boards. / 12 Aluminum pebbled finish buttons with attachment rings. / 1 Pair of pith helmet shields with bolts on the back possibly for attachment to a plaque. / 1 Pair of well worn Forestry collar tabs with some fraying to the silver bullion. / 1 Small leather bag impressed "5. Armee Weihnachten 1915". / 1 Small medal in the form of a crowned cross. / 1 Worn shooting lanyard in red, black & white. / 1 Small container of negatives in an orange box marked, "BILDBERICHT DER WOCHE 9/41". / 1 Single shoulder strap with braided white cord on the top of a black field and an RZM tag on the back. / 1 Small shooting award dated 1879 with lengthy German inscription. / 1 Small porcelain schnapps glass in the shape of a telephone pole insulator. / 5 Red, white & black Christmas candle cups featuring clear red cellophane with black painted Party symbol on a round white painted field. CONDITION: all items show light to moderate wear except as noted. (02-16708/BF).
2) 5 THIRD REICH BOOKS. This group includes 2 copies titled, "Adolf Hitler BUILDER AUS DEM LEBEN DES FUHRERS". These 2 books amazingly have their original paper dust jackets and their original cardboard issue boxes. They each boast scores and scores of black and white photos featuring Adolf Hitler in various contexts and with a wide variety of famous German dignitaries as well as civilians. / 1 Book titled, "Olympia 1932" which tells the story of German participation in the Olympic games of 1932 held in Los Angeles, CA. The book contains numerous tipped-in photos of German athletes as well as uniformed individuals. / 2 Books that comprise a 2 volume set titled, "Olympia 1936" and tell the story of the Olympic games held in Berlin during the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and National Socialism. The books show numerous tipped-in photos of German athletes as well as German military officers and political dignitaries all wearing their uniforms. Many of the athletes have attire emblazoned with the Party symbol. There is even a photo of the famous American athletes, Jesse Owens and Helen Stephens. CONDITION: books are truly in extraordinary condition for their age with very little wear. Photos are sharp and crisp. There does appear to be a few photos that were never obtained and mounted in the Olympia 1936 books and a couple of photos show tearing. (02-17505/BF). $700-1,000.
