The left side of the butt socket is marked "M47C/ENGLAND/1944" above the serial number which has been stamped over with the number "7110" to match the scope mount serial number above "F.T.R./TR". Fitted with the original blade front sight with ear protectors, and the correct No. 4, MKI adjustable rear sight with the rear aperture milled off. The rifle is equipped with the standard No. 32 MK3 sniper scope that is dated 1945 and is numbered "23437". Smooth semi-straight grip stock with removable screw-on cheekpiece, steel buttplate with compartment and leather sling. There are standard acceptance proofmarks in the pistol area with restamped serial number on top of the wrist to match the scope serial number. As stated, the scope mount has the number "7110" along with "GF" and the scope rings have the numbers "156" and "160". The magazine has the number "7110". Comes with an oiler and bayonet.

Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains 60% arsenal black paint with the balance a smooth gray patina. The wood is excellent with some scattered minor handling marks. The scope optics are slightly hazy. Mechanically excellent.
