WWII Anderson Fighting Knife with Sheath, 6-5/8'' blade, made from the butt portion of a Patton saber by LF&C and dated 1919; 11-3/4'' overall, red/black/marbled plastic handle marked ''ANDERSON GLENDALE / CALIFORNIA''; reverse marked ''MADE / IN USA''. Included is a leather sheath that appears to be from a period KA-BAR fighting knife. Condition is good overall. Blade with scattered pitting and carbon spotting. Wrist thong hole has not been drilled all the way thru. Plastic handle with uneven finish to right side butt, small hairline cracks near blade, and one small loss to top edge. Handle markings remain clear and well defined. Sheath shows heavy wear and is missing the keeper strap. A desirable knife in any condition. Est.: $450-$600.
