World War pilot 2nd Lt. Edward Faircloth's flight gear. Included in this group is Faircloth's U.S. Air Service Flight jacket that is marked "U.S. Air Service 1917-1918-1919"; leather fleece-lined flying jerkin; leather fur-lined flying gloves; flying cap; a 4 x 5-1/2 original photograph of Faircloth in his pilot's uniform, a copy of Lt. Faircloth's military discharge dated April 24, 1918. The flight jacket exhibits some scuffing and wear. It is missing the top button. The flying gloves have been chewed along the upper edges but are otherwise sound.
