WWI U.S. Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Produced in 1918. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt patents and address on the left side of the slide flanking the Rampant Colt, "H" above the firing pin stop and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. "Eagle/ S8" proof on the left side of the frame with the U.S. property marking removed, and "No" style serial number on the right. Fitted with the long trigger, flattened rear sight, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond patterns around the screws and the barrel marked "P/ H" on top of the chamber. Earlier variation "key slot" variation lanyard loop magazine included.

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing scattered patches of brown and gray patina, along with a strip of gray on the left side of the frame running from the slide catch to the front, mild edge wear and scattered handling marks. Grips are excellent, with some light dents. Mechanically excellent.
