This is a World War I Prussian Sterling Silver Artillery German Grand Iron Cross recipient presentation pocket watch. The piece shows sterling silver case with the back showing a deeply engraved scene having the German Eagle Crest in the center surrounded by a wreath with crossed bayonet fixed rifles and four artillery cannon barrels out the side with the Iron Cross Badge hanging across the bottom. The Iron Cross was given to a victorious leader who showed a great act of valor. The watch is a Remontoir Cylindre 8 Rubis N. 103364 as is hand scribed on the movement case. Early piece. Measures 2"x2.75".
