Photographs, letters, patches, buttons, souvenirs, and postcards once belonging to WWI soldier Joseph M. Cooper, Corporal of Battery 'A' of the 13th Field Artillery. The letters detail of his time in a hospital in 1917 and participation in a 4th of July parade in France. The photos show soldiers on the frontlines, dead war horses, aerial shots of Vaux, and Cooper in uniform. Cooper brought back souvenirs from WWI including a German brass matchbook cover 'Gott Mit Uns', three chevron patches, a 4th Infantry patch, a tourist map of the Rhine River, and a small souvenir photo album. Also included in lot is a WWI photo album once belonging to a different unknown soldier containing 81 photos of WWI soldiers and personal photos, 6.25 x 9.25 inches.
