The right side of the receiver is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A NECKAR" and the top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N.". The Mauser "crown / U" definitive proof mark is located on the upper left side of the receiver on the flat below the serial number and on top left side of the bolt, with the rear of the hammer having the new safety ("NS") marking, a crown/letter proof on the right side of the receiver, and a large Imperial eagle on the front of the frame. The rear sight is graduated from 50-500 meters. The trigger, safety, rear sight elevation bar and extractor have a brilliant niter blue finish. The groove grips have a large number "9" correctly filled with red paint on both sides. Visible matching numbers including the grips.
