27" x 28" memorial: Zur erinnerung an meine dienstzeit (to the memory of my service time) this silk is mounted, framed and under glass with a shadow box effect, embroidery on silk commemorating Kamillus Schweizer a German sailor on the T.T.D. Patricia. Decorated with his photo, a likeness of the Steamship Patricia, an eagle griping a German flag with a dragon partially behind and above is a crest with VOM MEER (from the sea), along the bottom is laurel branches and JUNI 1914. Done in the trapunto style giving it a 3-D appearance. Silk and frame in great condition.
