This is another excellent example of an original, WWI German 1914 pattern luger as used by all imperial German forces. These DWM pistols exhibited the best fit and finish of the WWI pistols and have an all rust blued finish with straw colored small parts. The top of the chamber area is dated 1916 for the year of manufacture with the front toggle marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. Visible numbers match. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top, rear section of the barrel, left side of the breechblock and right side of the barrel extension. The upper safety position and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". Fitted with standard checkered walnut grips, and it has fixed sights, with the stock lug on the back strap. Complete with a WWII replacement blued magazine with an aluminum base that has been numbered "6669y/eagle 655".

The grips are in very fine condition with a nice matching medium brown color with only even honest wear across the tops of the checkering with a noticeable scratch on the center section on the left grip with some slight wear on the lower area around the grip screw.
