The top of the receiver is dated 1917 and the toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The artillery barrel is marked on the underside with the correct three digit serial number along with the letter suffix, the bore diameter of 8,83, with the right rear marked with the Imperial Eagle. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and it is correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. The tangent rear sight is graduated from 100-800 meters. The magazine is a correct nickel plated WWI version with a wooden base plate, numbered (531k).

Condition: Very good as partially refinished with 40% faded original blue finish remaining on frame/barrel extension assembly with the entire barrel finish having been professionally restored. The markings on the barrel are clear. The grips are fair showing heavy wear across the tops of the checkering. The pistol has matching numbers except the magazine, and the takedown lever is slightly bent.
