A WWI continuing to WWII archive of Sgt. James Dalziel of the 8RD. Fought during the First War, surviving though wounded, and later a member of the Saskatchewan Legion of Frontiersman. This grouping has his ribbon rack, group photos of his Legion in 1941, pay record, separation in WWI from the CEF document and more. Among of the most interesting items are 2 diaries. One from the Canadian Trench Warfare School stamped and dated October, 1917, it is hand written and consists of Sgt. Dalziel's notes of his training, dealing with gas attacks, grenade disarming and much more. A detailed accounting of WWI trench war fare training.
