WWI 1918 Dated Erfurt Luger Pistol with 1918 Leather Holster
This is a late WWI production German luger as manufactured in 1918. These late Erfurt Lugers have the typical late rough machined finish in comparison to the DWM models and this one has the artillery rear sight notch on the front of the upper receiver, which is typical of these late war pistols. It has the standard 1918 date over the chamber with the "Crown/ERFURT" on the toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the small "RC/Crown" Erfurt proof along with the three "crown/ gothic letter" and the Imperial firing proof. The various parts are also correctly proofed with either the Imperial Eagle proof, the Erfurt Crown over RC, or the single Crown over script letter proof. The pistol is fitted with a set of standard checkered walnut grips with the left side having a small Nazi Winged Eagle stick pin top, inletted into the grip itself. It has the correct (non-matching) WWI magazine with the nickel plated magazine body and the wood base. It is complete with a late 1918 dated brown leather holster that is marked "C. HOLSTEN/MUNCHEN" on the back with an Imperial take down tool.

Excellent overall with 95% of the original finish with wear on the high spots. The grips are in excellent condition with a gold Nazi eagle insert into left grip with some light wear across the checkering on the left side. The holster is in excellent condition with nice tight stitching overall with excellent markings on the back. The pistol has matching numbers except the magazine. The pistol needs some minor attention as it will stay cocked.
