39th Physician Reserve Battalion. The battalion was established in December 1942 by renaming the existing Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 39, based in Düsseldorf ( Wehrkreis VI, Münster ). In July 1943, the battalion moved to the city of Goch, in September 1944, the battalion is mobilized and deployed to fight on the Western Front.
