This is a WW2 K98 bayonet with scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet is roughly 15 in. overall length; blade at 10 in. Some bluing still remains after having been sharpened. The fuller is still strikingly blue with "Coppel G.m.b.H." stamped at the ricasso on one side and S/N "6633/ backwards P" on the other. The bayonet catch is intact and working with three Wehrmacht proof marks visible near the release button. The leather is in excellent condition as is the bayonet. Providence: removed from a German soldier by the consignor's father during WW2. Please see photo for details.
