Cal. 455 Webley. S# 636. Bbl. 5". Round blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. Spanish revolver made for British use during WW1 based on an S&W design. Top of bbl. appears to be marked "MEDALLADE ORDO EXPOSICION". Blued finish. Checkered black grips with 1914 monograms. Bottom of grip frame has plugged lanyard hole. CONDITION: grips show a couple chips, scattered dings, handling marks, scratches & worn checkering. Metal retains 30% blue with overall fading to gray, scattered oxidation, edge wear, pitting, dings & several tool marks on trigger guard. Bbl. to frame fit & timing are loose & extractor may need attention. Poor bore with scattered patches of pitting & oxidation. (25-2560/MJC). CURIO. $200-300.
