Offered in this lot is a WW II U.S. Regulation Navy Service Khaki Uniform, circa 1941-1945. Khakis were authorized aboard submarines in 1931 and as an officer's working uniform on all ships in 1941. Included are tailored pleated pants (2) with khaki brass buckle web belt, tailored jacket with lieutenant insignia shoulder boards and chest ribbon board (American Area Campaign Medal, American Defense, Good Conduct), khaki long sleeve shirt (tears above both wrists), Service black tie, traditional service officer's combination cap with cotton khaki cover and officer's cap device , and, a khaki garrison cap. Also included are WW2 Marine Corps leggings (2-pair), one Navy "Dixie Cup" hat, and one British Royal Corps of Signals dress hat. Manufacturer labels from "Naval Uniform Service, Inc. subsidiary of Joseph & Feiss Co., Cleveland, O. Manufactured in accordance with applicable U.S.N. uniform regulations" and "Bancroft's Zephyr" for the officer's combination cap. Slight staining noted.*
