The Times issues include: July 26, 1943 (Ouster of Mussolini); Sept. 9, 1943 (Surrender of Italy) June 7, 1944 (Normandy Landings); April 13, 1945 (Death of F.D.R.); May 2, 1945 (Death of Hitler) May 6, 1945 (V-E Day); July 21, 1969 (Apollo 11 Moon landing); Sept. 12, 2001 (World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks); Sept. 13, 2001 (aftermath); Sept. 14, 2001 (Bush proclaims "POLICY OF 'ENDING' STATES THAT BACK TERROR..."); Sept. 15, 2001 (Bush visit to New York); Sept. 16, 2001 (Military preparations); Sept. 17, 2001; Sept. 18, 2001 (Stock market drops 7%); Oct. 8, 2001 (First U.S. strikes on Afghanistan); Sept. 11, 2002 (partial issue on first anniversary of 9-11 attacks).
