WORKSPLATE "North British Locomotive Company Ltd No. 25195. 1943 Glasgow". As carried by the Ministry of Supply Riddles 'Austerity' 2-8-0 77325 that emerged from Works in June 1943. It went on loan to the LNER from new until returning to the War Department in January 1945 to go to France on war service. After returning to the UK it went on loan to the GWR in April 1947, then was purchased by BR in December 1948 becoming 90237. Latterly a Mold Junction, Woodford Halse and Toton engine, it was withdrawn in January 1964 and cut up by John Cashmore of Great Bridge in July. Diamond white brass, 131/2"x51/2", just lightly face-polished.
