ACTION RIFLE WITH STYROFOAM INSERT & SLEEVE. Cal. 30-30. S# 68389. Bbl. 20". Model 94 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester commemorating Canada's 1967 centennial. The left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the cal. designation, with "Canadian Centennial 1867-1967" marked on the right quarter flat. Sides of the receiver exhibit engraved branches and maple leaves, with "CANADIAN CENTENNIAL '67" marked on the upper receiver tang. Sides of lever exhibit oak leaf engraving. Receiver and forend cap exhibit a dark polished blue finish, with the bbl., mag. tube, hammer, and trigger exhibiting a standard blue finish. Lever and loading gate exhibit a gold plated finish. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend have been sanded and revarnished at one time. Buttplate has been polished and reblued. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Winchester Legendary Frontiersmen styrofoam insert and cardboard sleeve. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Buttplate retains the majority of its reapplied blue, exhibiting some wear and a few spots of pitting beneath the finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light surface oxidation, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Cardboard sleeve shows some wear, staining, and tearing along the edges, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-1651/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
