Cal. 22 S, L, LR. NSN. Bbl. 23". Model 60 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester from 1932 until World War II. The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. and patent information, followed by the model and cal. designations, as well as the Winchester trademark logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Dovetailed brass beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray and brown patinas and some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bolt exhibits some light pitting, as well as scattered spots of age related discoloration. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-1826/MLW). CURIO. $150-250.
