WILLIAM PAGE RAILROAD LOT. Lot of 3 items. Includes a .5" thick section of rail with "Baltimore," "R. C. Hoffman," "W. N. Page" engraved on one side, "85lbs. No. 235, Tidewater Railway," and "Maryland Steel Co." on the other. Rail section is 5.25" high, 5" max. width. PLUS Page, William N. "A Fossil Fern and other Poems." 1925. Boston (MA): Stratford Co. 12mo, 54pp., board covers with cloth spine. Some shelf wear and light soiling of cover. AND a 6th plate-sized albumen photo (unidentified) with the above items of 2 members of the 8th OVC, reportedly on furlough in the winter of 1864, in half case. The photo is backmarked J. Coss, Springfield, Ohio. It just so happens there were 2 Page's in the 8th OVC, Isaac and Joseph, about 3 years apart in age. Neither has a hometown listed, could they be brothers (and brothers of William)? Rail has light surface rust.
