King of Great Britain and Ireland (1830-37), called the Sailor King. The significant event of a politically inept reign was the passage of the first electoral Reform Bill that resulted in the abolition of colonial slavery, which he tried unsuccessfully to resist. After his death the British monarchy passed to Victoria. ALS “<i>William Henry</i>”, 2pp, “<i>Barfleur Off Sandy Hook</i>” [NJ], Nov 18, 1787. Interesting content. A note on the integral leaf in an other hand identifies the recipient as “<i>his Tutor, Dr Mayender</i>.” Penned aboard the naval vessel, the young prince writes in part: “...<i>I send you enclosed the Key of a table of mine...in the long room next to my bed chamber in London...I shall beg as a favor you would send me to the West Indies everything in those drawers & a box with colours & pencils, as Capn Knight is so good as to teach me to draw...The little I have seen of Capn Napier, I like very much; I hope he does the same of me; in the letter you will do me the pleasure to write, pray give me such advice as you think necessary; I shall be happy to receive it from any body, but particularly from you I have so long lived with..</i>.” Boldly penned and signed. General toning; mounting tape on verso; o/w Fine. A son of George III, William entered the navy at age 13, serving during the American Revolution. At 20 he had been given command of a frigate and was serving in the West Indies. Though his naval career ended two years after this letter was penned when he came to dislike life aboard ship and did not get along well with many other officers, he did however become good friends during this time with Horatio Nelson.</span></p>

of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.

3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a
