This was a job that Harrison occupied from 1834-40, a lucrative position that allowed him to pay off many of the debts he had accumulated. Comes with 2 vintage campaign silks: first is 2"X7", light green, with his portrait, and reads "Harrison, the Hero of Tippecanoe, the People's Choice. Our Cause is our Country, Our candidate its gallant defender" (light soiling and fraying); the second is 2"X4", bright red, with an American flag and the banner "Harrison, Tyler." VG. All are handsomely double matted with: an engraving; campaign coin, with his image; and a plaque. Nicely framed. $1,000-1,500
