William Ekgren's sole known, published output consists of three comic book covers for 1950s publisher, St. John Publications (<I>Strange Terrors</B></I> #4 and <I>Weird Horrors</B></I> #6 and #7). The original owner of this painting acquired it directly from the artist in the early 1950s. It is still in its original frame. <BR><BR>Our consigner believes that he may have photographed the artist in two photos, taken the day the painting was orignally acquired.
