J. Stewart Johnson, AMERICAN MODERN, 1925-1940: DESIGN FOR A NEW AGE, New York, 2000, pp. 56-57
Wilber Orme was an in-house designer employed by the Cambridge Glass Company in Cambridge, Ohio. A lifelong native of Southeastern Ohio's glass and china belt, Orme is one of those names in the American Modern canon who would remain utterly buried in the obscure annals of depression glass
LITERATURE were it not for this single stroke of genius.
