Not much is known about these issues, but much is known about JJ Astor, the man behind the settlement. Based on the fact that the plat of Astor [and nearby Navarino] formally became a part of Green Bay in 1838, the Territorial designation, and the imprint, these notes can likely be presumed to date from between 1832-1838.
