The turned walrus ivory handle on this cane is just over 1.75" high and 1.25" in diameter. The narrow, 3/16", silvercollar is engraved "James M. Cross." The single-piece whalebone shaft is octagonal at the top, and becomes roundabout 1/3 of the way down. There are brass eyelets about 3" below the collar. This cane never had a ferrule and is33" overall in length. Minor drying cracks in ivory handle.(EST 400-600)
