This satin glass figural powder jar known as WENDY is shown and described on pages 34-35 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. With a striking Art Deco design featuring a flapper girl with outstreched arms resting upon her skirt. She is wearing a low-cut gown with a double strand of beads around her neck. The base is four footed and she is beautifully executed with fine definition and attention to detail. The oval jar with lid measures about 4 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" x 4" and, with the exception of a small nick, just above the rim, on her dress, both are in excellent condition
