Nicely double matted with a reprinted portrait, and an original stereograph, entitled "The Hero of Gettysburg", showing John Burns seated in his rocker, with his rifle and crutches beside him. John Burns (1793-1872), was an old man living in Gettysburg at the time of the famous battle. He borrowed a rifle from a wounded Union soldier and promptly joined the 7th Wisconsin Vols. Handsomely framed with identification plaque reading, "Wendell Phillips, Forging the Nation's Character." $100-150
