WASHINGTON, GEORGE
(1732 - 1799) First President of the United States and commander of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Partly-printed D.S. ""Go: Washington"" as President, 1p. folio, [Washington], Sep. 1, 1795, a three-language ship's passport issued to the brig Speedwell bound from Boston to Demarasa laden with a cargo of ""Beef, Fish, Lumber, Onions, Potatoes, Shingles"". Nicely signed at center, co-signed by Secretary of State EDMUND RANDOLPH. Toning and chipping along folds causing slight loss of text an affecting first two letters of Washington's signature, yet the chips have been expertly filled and perfectly matching ink applied to the tiny are of signature loss. Overall very good.
