CASE. Cal. 9mm Kurz. S# 162485S. Bbl. 3 1/4". PPK/S semi-automatic pistol mfg. in West Germany by Walther in 1972 in accordance with the Gun Control Act of 1968. Left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo above "Made in W. Germany", followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations, with a Crown/ N commercial nitro proof, the S#, and an Interarms' import mark on the right. Right side of the chamber is marked with the 2-digit year of mfg. "72", a Ulm Proof House antler, and an Eagle/N proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Walther banner checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features a matte grooved rib, with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed square notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and slide. MAGS: 1 7-rd. mag. with black synthetic grip extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: later production Walther blue polymer hard case. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original blue finish, showing some spots of light edge wear, with scattered spots of light surface oxidation present on the grip straps. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, including the safety lever / decocker. Grips show mild smoothing and scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-3660/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
