Cal. 6.35mm. S# 396854. Bbl. 3 7/8". 1st variation Model 8 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther, circa. 1920-1926. Left side of the slide is marked "Walther's Patent Mod.8" above the Walther banner logo, with Walther's mfg. information marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked "MADE IN GERMANY", with a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof marked on the right side of the frame, slide, and bbl. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown synthetic grips, with a "CW" monogram medallion present on the left grip, and a "6,35" medallion present on the right. Slide features a grooved matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight, and fixed U-notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain fair to good amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with scattered spots of dark oxidation and mild pitting present on the slide. Fair bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with the left panel exhibiting a repaired break. (25-2073/MLW). CURIO. $200-300.
