Guuiard and Co. of Paris inApril 1888. The price was 60 pounds 9 schilling. (Approx $520 at that time, when a good Colt cost $19, the most expensive engraving on Winchester's was $125 and a nice home in Arizona would be less than this price at that time.) These barrels shan old English refinish which is starting to patina and approx90% remains. The action has gone to silvery gray and show very finely engraved banknote scrolls with vignettes of dogs on each side of frame and game birds on bottom of action.The engraving is light under the refinish on the trigger guard. The stock measures 13 1/4" from the front trigger to the end of the wood. 14 1/4" to the end of the pad. The stocks have been lightly refinished but carving and checkering are still
