Signed book: A Writer’s Notebook. First edition, limited edition of 1000, this being 534. NY: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1949. Hardcover with slipcase, 7 x 10, 367 pages. Signed in blue ink on the limitations page, “W. Somerset Maugham.” Uniform strip of sunning to the spine, slight separation from the front hinge, a few spots of toning along the top edges of the first few pages, and a rough edge to page 13, otherwise fine condition. Slipcase in very good condition, with heavy paper loss bordering on separation to the edges, with surface rubbing to the front cover.
