English author of disillusioned and ironic novels and short stories. He is best remembered for his partially autobiographical novel <i>Of Human Bondage</i>. His book, <i>Trio</i>, large 12mo, 156pp, Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, New York, 1950. Containing three short stories by Maugham, including “The Verger”; “Mr. Know-All”; and “Sanatorium” plus screenplays based on them, one written by Maugham himself, the other two by R.C. Sherriff and Noel Langley. Maugham has boldly signed on flyleaf in blue fountain pen. Some cover wear, especially to spine. Very nice.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
