<B>W. Packard, Elyria, O Counterstamped on 1853 Half Dollar.</B></I> Brunk P-58, Rulau OH-EY-7. The <B>plate coin</B></I> in the catalog <I>Merchant and Privately Countermarked Coins </B></I>(2003) by Gregory Brunk. The host coin is a well-worn 1853 Arrows and Rays half dollar. Packard was a gunsmith in Elyria, Ohio, from 1850-1866.
