Lot of 2: both have embossing that read “W.H. Stowell Druggist & Assayer No. 3 Main St. Eureka , NEV.” 1) Measures 6.5” and has a repaired top. The bottom of the bottle has a purple tint, and somewhat clean glass. There are some chips on the top and bottom. 2) Measures 5”, clear and clean glass. There are a couple small chips on the bottom. These are the only two bottles known in America that have this embossing. W.H. Stowell appears on the 1880 census as a 31 year old druggist and assayer from New York, married with two young children.
