British-American poet (1907-1973) best known for such classic verses as 'September 1, 1939' and 'The Age of Anxiety' and for his musical collaborations with composer Benjamin Britten. ALS, one page, 8.25 x 11, no date. Written from Brooklyn Heights, a letter to literary agent Kurt Hellmer, in full: "Thank you for your letter. The only thing I have which I enclose is the partial MSS of an unfinished poem upon which I am now working. Not much, I'm afraid, but if it's any use to you, I shall be delighted. It represents about one half of the poem." In very good to fine condition, with two tears to the top edge, creasing to the upper right corner, and creasing and chipping along the right edge.
