W. & C. Scott Premier grade double barrel full side lock S x S 12 gauge shotgun with extra fancy engraving in game scenes, serial #102237. The gun shows 29" barrels with auto ejectors, double triggers, rounded pistolgrip, extra thick leather pad with later W & C Scott luggage with canvas cover. The left barrel is choked .20 about improved modified and right barrel is choked .07 about improved cyl. Left barrel is approx .28 wallthickness and right barrel is approx .29. The gun shows nitro proofs for 2-3/4" loads and 1-1/8 ounce of shot. The engraving is exceptionally fine with a portrait of dog retrieving bird, game scenes, fine scrollsand deep cut chiseling on the fences. The barrels are in near fine condition showing 90% plus blue with very good to near fine bores. The trigger guard shows 90% plus original Robins egg blue finish. The frameand locks show 85-95% strong case hardening. The stocks have been professionally refreshed with excellent wood to metal fit.
