An unusual, gold-colored SLAVA alarm clock and a ‘Vostok-1‘ model

These are a ‘Vostok-1’ alarm clock and a ‘Vostok-1‘ model. The alarm clock is an unusual, gold-colored SLAVA alarm clock on a white plastic socket commemorating the Vostok-1 flight. The reverse side which depicts a world map and the Soviet Union can be removed to operate the clock. The red rocket that is surrounding the world map represents the perfect propaganda for the politics of the USSR at the time. The ‘Vostok-1‘ model is an alike unusual, gold-colored globe on a white plastic plinth. The globe depicts the countries and the continents. A wire and a red rocket arise from the USSR, representing the launch of Vostok-1 from the Soviet Union. The plinth is inscribed with ‘April 12, 1961’ in Russian.
