An unusual, gold-colored Bocmol/Bocmok alarm clock and a Sputnik I model

These are a ‘Vostok-1’ alarm clock and a Sputnik I model. The alarm clock is an unusual, gold-colored Bocmol/Bocmok alarm clock on a white plastic socket commemorating the Vostok-1 flight. The reverse depicting a world map and the Soviet Union can be removed to operate the clock. The red rocket that is surrounding the world map represents the perfect propaganda for the politics of the USSR at the time. The Sputnik I model is a small metal model on a metal/plastic plinth. Hammer and sickle are engraved into the satellite. The word ‘MIR’ (peace) is tailed to the satellite. The plinth depicts the globe and is inscribed with ‘4.X.1957 CCCP’.



The alarm clock is in good condition with traces of use, like wax traces and small scratches. The alarm clock has not been tested and Auctionata does not guarantee functionality. The dimensions of the alarm clock are 10.5 x 11.3 x 6.5 cm. The Sputnik I model is in very good condition. The dimensions of the Sputnik I model are 6 x 6 x 5 cm.
