[American Numismatic Association]. THE NUMISMATIST AND YEAR BOOK FOR 1892. Vol. V, Nos. 1–6, complete. Monroe, Michigan: Dr. Geo. F. Heath, July–December 1892. Six issues, complete. Small 8vo, original printed wraps. I–II, (3)–18; (19)–34; (37)–52; (57)–76; (77)–92; (93)–112 pages; 1 portrait plates [of 2 called for] and two other plates, one double-page; text illustrations. A folded page from an issue of Plain Talk discussing ANA business, is laid into the October issue. Very lightly folded for mailing. Generally fine. Volume 5 of The Numismatist, comprising the second half of 1892, seldom offered in original state. Heath’s Numismatic Headlights, which had commenced in Vol. 4, continued here, with biographies of Charles Taylor Tatman and Herbert E. Morey (the accompanying portrait of Tatman is present, but that of Morey is not). Other plates include a double-page table of China, the Mandchu Dynasty, and a plate of The Proposed World’s Fair Souvenir Half Dollar, markedly different from the adopted design. Very scarce, especially in the original wraps.
