Volcanic lever action Navy pistol remaining in original very good to near fine condition with 8” barrel in .41 caliber, blue finish, varnished wood grips, serial number 746. The barrel address reads “The Volcanic RepeatingArms Company, patent, New Haven Conn., February 14, 1854. The barrel retains 75% to 85% original blue going slightly brown with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting just starting and some ofwhich may clean. The edges are very sharp and the barrel address is well defined. There is some very bright blue mixed in the barrel finish. The frame is a deep honey color and completely uncleaned in modern times. Theframe shows just a couple of minor scratches and normal aging. The hammer and lever show traces of case hardening within their patina. The bolt and firing pin show traces of finish. The varnished wood grips are verygood with approximately 75% to 85% varnish and many small scratches and marks which are all minor. The action works well and the bore is near excellent and still remains bright and shiny. The front sight and loading lever
