Russian-American engineer and inventor of the iconoscope and kinoscope that, together, constituted the first all-electronic television system (1888–1982). Uncommon glossy 8 x 10 portrait of Zworykin, signed in the lower right in ballpoint, “V. K. Zworykin, Oct. 1/74.” In very good condition, with a crease to the upper left and very poor contrast to signature against the checkered pattern of his suit.
